Sonny Boy Williamson II (1899 - 1965) was born in Mississippi on a garden. His birth name was Aleck Ford, but he and his stepfather, Miller took his last name. He later called himself a name, and Sonny Boy Williamson Blues singer and harmonica player John Lee on Finally, "Sonny Boy" Williamson, to capitalize on the success of settlement.
